As a NAMM approved ground anchor manufacturer, we have built our ground anchors using quality 304 Grade Stainless Steel Anchor tube in accordance with BS8415:2018, normally ~600mm in length with either two or three Stainless Steel lug pins securely pre-welded to the anchor tube to prevent any slippage through the memorial's foundation slab.
What it does
A ground anchor system is used to secure a standing headstone, to prevent it toppling and causing a danger in the future or prevent damage to the stone. Whilst it does act to stabilise the memorial, it's main purpose is safety. Memorial stones up to 40"(1115mm) may be fixed with one tube and up to 54" with two. Although if the ground is very soft two may be required for shorter stones.

The lug pins are pre-welded at a suitable distance from the end of the tube to ensure the anchor's maximum engagement in the base of the memorial to comply with BS8415:2018.
The Ground Anchor is available in two nominal diameters: 27mm and 38mm - the thickness of the Stainless Steel is 2.5mm and 3mm respectively.
Myatt & Leason Anchors are available in different lengths such as 260mm(+/- 5mm) for fixing to pre-cast concrete linear rafts or beams. Longer lengths are also available for use in softer ground conditions or perhaps where a memorial has a multi-tier base.
